Weathering means adding realistic effects to models, such as sand on tank treads or muddy rally car bodies. Weathering Master comes in a convenient package with 3 colors and a special applicator. Should be applied to a directly painted model to achieve effects such as rust, soot, mud, snow, etc.

Tamiya has specially created Weathering Master H Sets for use on human figure models. The pigments allow for easy reproduction of human skin tone gradation effects, and the different shades allow for both highlighting and shading. The H Set includes colors that are geared toward brightening (pale orange, ivory and light peach).
